1979 Swallow tail MK1 golf GTi
Purchased in 2018 by its current owner, this little golf underwent a two year sympathetic restoration , and has been stored in a heated showroom since and only covered 70 miles since.
the car was stripped back to the shell, all glass removed, the body and underneath were then re worked and metal replaced where needed, the car was then fully primed and repainted , with new brakes, suspension, fuel tank and lines, original wheels refurbed including a spare.
the engine was fully serviced with a top end rebuild, and all the interior was re trimmed, and new carpets added.
A period modern blaupunkt stereo has been fitted for that retro feel.
This was and extensive rebuild at great cost and it shows.
The car comes with a full catalogue of pictures of the recommissioning for its new owner.
this surely has to be the BEST or one of the best early mk1's in the country.
